Description: This resource states that there are 10 NAEYC standards for early childhood programs. These  are very important to families and their children, because they help them make the right choice when they are looking for a preschool, childcare center, and kindergarten to enroll their child into. The standards are relationships, curriculum, teaching, assessment of child progress, health, staff competencies, preparation, and support, families, community relationships, physical environment, and leadership and management.

Description: This resource is also a part of the NAEYC. This resource provide guidance to all programs about making improvements regardless of whether they intend to seek accreditation. These assessment items must be met by programs in order to earn NAEYC Accreditation.
